We first met one afternoon at church during a sports club gathering, when Andrea showed up with her cat—an unexpected moment that sparked an immediate conversation between us. What began as a simple introduction quickly turned into something more as we spent the summer church games together. Through karaoke nights, bingo, and group activities, we slowly got to know each other and grew closer week by week.

After several weeks of talking and spending time together, we went on our first official dinner date. Shortly after, on August 25th, 2024, AJ asked Andrea to be his girlfriend—and from that moment on, our journey truly began.

As our relationship grew, so did our faith and shared purpose. We spent time together in Bible studies, serving on volunteer teams, traveling with our church, and building community through group events. Together, we traveled to Panama on a church mission trip and continued serving at our local campus, strengthening both our relationship and our walk with God.

On November 5th, AJ surprised Andrea by taking her and her parents to Nashville, Tennessee, for her birthday to see her favorite artist perform live. While Andrea and her mom were at the concert, AJ quietly asked her father for his blessing.

Later, AJ coordinated with his family to plan a proposal during a family reunion trip to Arkansas. Under the guise of a casual photo session on AJ’s birthday, the family drove to a scenic overlook in Hot Springs at sunset. As Andrea posed for photos, AJ’s sister asked her to step into the frame to “see how it looked”—and in that moment, AJ pulled Andrea in, spun her around, and dropped to one knee to propose.

It was a perfect ending to a story rooted in friendship, faith, and love—and the beginning of forever.
